Amber Technology, an ASX-listed distributor of commercial, professional, residential and music industry brands, is seeking a Business Development Manager to focus on the Advanced Projection market.

The Role

As Business Development Manager – Advanced Projection, you’ll be working with contractors, integrators and end users to build our business in the market for high resolution and high brightness projectors. You’ll enjoy a close relationship with one of the world’s most innovative projector manufacturers and have the support of our national Integrated Solutions sales team as you seek to uncover and nurture opportunities in markets such as:

  • visualisation and simulation
  • visitor attraction
  • commercial installation
  • rental and staging

The role will include:

  • direct engagement with targeted end users and contractors/integrators
  • management of opportunities into and through our contractor/integrator partners
  • commercial and technical sales support
  • working with and through our regional sales team
  • achievement of clearly defined sales targets
  • participation in various national and international trade shows, seminars, etc.

Our ideal candidate

  • will have worked in the AV distribution industry, or for a manufacturer supplying the AV distribution industry
  • have extensive exposure to the visual display market, preferably working with the top of the projector market
  • has demonstrated technical knowledge and sales skills
  • has strong general office IT skills (based around the Microsoft Office suite)
  • has excellent written and spoken communications skills
  • has the ability and confidence to work with high value capital purchases and senior executives of the purchasing organisations
  • lives in Sydney, but is able to travel regularly around Australia, New Zealand and occasionally overseas
